About Monika
Monika is a versatile Production Designer known for her strong visual sensibility and ability to translate a director’s vision into cohesive, production-ready environments. Working across a wide range of genres and formats, she brings a balance of creativity and practicality to every project. Her efficient, solutions-driven approach ensures designs are delivered on time, on budget, and at a high level of execution.
She has been nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Production Design for Canada’s Ultimate Challenge (Season 2), as well as an American Reality Television Award for Outstanding Art Direction for The Amazing Race Canada(Season 9). Monika has extensive experience in large-scale, fast-paced productions, with a commercial portfolio that includes global brands such as Bell, Pepsi, Campbell’s, BMO, Coors, TD, Home Depot, Amazon, Hyundai, HelloFresh, and Canadian Tire.
Based in Toronto, Monika holds a degree in Communications and Film Studies from York University. She began her career while still in school, collaborating with award-winning directors and set designers on a range of film and television projects. These early experiences shaped her collaborative approach and continue to inform her ability to lead teams, problem-solve on the ground, and deliver strong visual results under production demands.
The Street House won a Cannes Silver Design Lion, Silver and Bronze CLIO, two Gold and two Silver Promo Awards and a Gold Marketing Award.
